Flat tire fixed

The flat tire on 757JX is fixed and the plane is ready to fly.

Also done/fixed:
Vac pump adjusted to bring pressure back up into middle of green on the suction gauge
ELT battery replaced
Primer pump lubed (it was getting pretty stiff)


Left Main Tire

The left main tire is flat. Should be fixed some time tomorrow.

Pitot Heat

Pitot heat is now available in 757JX. The switch is right next to the landing light and beacon switches.

Plugs Cleaned & Rotated

The runup was a bit rough earlier this week, so I cleaned and rotated all the spark plugs yesterday. Runup and flight test were all ok afterwards.

New Transponder

N757JX has a brand new Garmin GTX 327 transponder. No more lengthy warm up times!

New Year Maintenance

The 152 is available again after being out for maintenance yesterday. The nose strut was re-built and some routine maintenance on the engine was performed.

The transponder is taking a good bit of time to warm up and is scheduled to be replaced on January 30th.

Misc Items

A new fire extinguiser was installed today, replacing the old one that was in need of a recharge. The aircraft's 50 hour maintenance was done last week and the right fuel tank filler neck gaskets were replaced.

Annual Completed

The annual inspection was completed last week. The mags had their 500 hour factory recommended service and the prop was inspected and balanced.

50 hr Maintenance

7JX had its 50 hr maintenance last week. In addition to the normal items, the master switch was replaced. This should eliminate the need to flip the master on and off occasionally to get the electrical systems to turn on.


New Vacumn Gauge Installed
